Energy Efficient Technology

We can provide you with the most optimal solution for each wastewater treatment and disposal application. For example, screw technology with variable speed drive can lower your energy consumption by 30% on average compared to other technologies.

Clean Air for Treating Wastewater

Our oil-free options ensure that air is not contaminated during the compression process.

All Technologies Available

We offer technologies ideal for wastewater and disposal treatment applications. Our products can be tailored to match the needs of your production.

Reliability and Efficiency is Key for Low Cost of Ownership

Up to 70% of the energy consumption in a wastewater treatment plant is used for aeration. It is important to keep energy costs down in order to keep total operational costs low. Here at Chicago Pneumatic, we are committed in keeping your operational costs down. We do this by offering one a efficient and reliable machine.

Reducing the Environmental Impact of Wastewater Treatment

It is increasingly important for efficient water management due to scarce availability of resources and the rising financial pressure. When counting on air supply to keep the bacteria alive during the treatment process, oil contamination is not desirable. This is the reason why we have oil-free solutions.

Global Installed Base

We have sales and service network around the world and service thousands of compressed air installations throughout the world. We ensure your equipment is always working at peak efficiency and downtime is limited.

Applications

Diffused aeration

As bacteria can't survive without oxygen, a continous oil-free supply is important for the quality of your wastewater treatment process. As the wastewater supply can vary during the day it is crucial for your installation to handle a variable air flow demand.

Filter backwashing

Backwashing refers to pumping water backwards through the filter. Oil-free air prevents filter media from becoming dirty and unusable. This is a form of preventive maintenance so that the filter media can be reused.

Aerated lagoon

An aerated lagoon is a treatment pond that promotes biological oxidation of wastewaters. The diffused aeration system's efficiency has a direct impact on the quality and level of wastewater treatment that the lagoon achieves.

Activated sludge process

Air and micro-organisms are used to biologically oxidize organic pollutants, producing waste sludge containing oxidized materials. In order to avoid contamination to the water, the air in conventional activated sludge systems must be oil-free.

Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR)

SBRs are activated sludge processes designed to operate under non-steady state conditions. Operated in true batch mode with aeration and sludge settlement in the same basin. During the aeration phase, airflow is diffused in the tank. Fixed speed units ensure energy consumption is much lower to generate a competitive cost advantage.

Membrane bio-reactor (MBR) Systems

A version of the conventional activated sludge system where solid and liquid separation is done by a membrane (micro or ultrafiltration). Resulting in advantages for process control and product water quality but high energy consumption and intensive bio treatment process.
