Job description

Atlas Copco is currently looking for a SQA (Supplier Quality Assurance) Team Leader to join the Sourcing Department of its manufacturing facility Ceccato Aria Compressa located in Montecchio Maggiore (Vicenza).

In this position you will report to the Purchasing Manager and develop the SQA team as well as the processes within your area of responsibility to achieve further efficiency.

While keeping responsibility for certain commodities, main part of your mission will be safeguarding results, timing and resources for ongoing and future product development and sourcing projects.

Some of Your responsibilities will be:

Defining and implementing the Supply quality strategy for several Commodities

Manage your team to operate efficiently in:

  • Implementing improvement programs at Suppliers’ premises and controlling their development
  • Scheduling, in collaboration with the Buyers, new Suppliers’ approval audits and qualification update audits with existing Suppliers (Audit Plan)
  • Performing process audits during development projects or resourcing
  • Performing activities of controlling incoming material and reporting non-conformities to Suppliers

 

Knowledge requirements

Knowledge and use of the main qualitative procedures and tools (Managing Systems, ISO 9000, ISO/TS 16949, Auditing, Corrective and Preventive Actions, FMEA, Control Plans, Measurement System Analysis, SPC, Control Documents, Process Capability…)

Reading and understanding technical documentation (design and specifications)

Knowledge of the Project Management

3 to 5 years’ experience in production/technical depts. in Lean manufacturing organized   companies, is a preferable title.

Experience requirements

Quality background of some years of experience as a project leader, or alternatively some years of experience as leader/team leader in other technical oriented departments (engineering, production). Experience in project management or supply chain management is an asset.

Educational requirement

Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
