Why Choose a Fixed Speed Screw Compressor?
Fixed speed screw compressors remain a dependable choice for businesses with steady air demand.
With reliability and efficiency in mind, our fixed speed models offer consistent performance, day in and day out. Powered by proven rotary screw technology, these compressors deliver compressed air at a constant rate, supporting your operations without surprises.
- Benefits on fixed speed
- About fixed speed technology
- F.A.Q.s on fixed speed
- Stable performance: ideal for applications where air demand stays consistent throughout the day.
- Straightforward maintenance: fewer moving components and no speed modulation make servicing simpler.
- Reliable under pressure: durable construction supports continuous operation in demanding conditions.
- Efficient for steady loads: performs well when air usage doesn’t fluctuate significantly.
- Lower initial investment: more affordable upfront than variable speed alternatives.
Fixed speed screw compressors are based on rotary screw compression. Air enters a chamber where two rotors rotate in opposite directions, trapping and compressing the air. The motor runs at one fixed speed, giving you the same air output every time.
Key Features of IPM Motors
- Structural Integrity: The embedded magnets are protected from mechanical damage, making the motor more robust and reliable.
- Reduced Back EMF: Back EMF, or counter-electromotive force, is a phenomenon that occurs in electric motors due to the relative motion between the stator windings and the rotor's magnetic field. iPM motors are designed to minimize Back EMF, resulting in better performance and efficiency.
- High Efficiency: iPM motors are more efficient than traditional induction motors, making them ideal for high-efficiency applications.
They offer simpler operation, lower upfront cost, and straightforward servicing. If your air consumption is constant, a fixed speed unit can be more efficient than variable speed in the long run.
Only if your air demand varies significantly. For stable use, energy consumption is predictable and consistent. Choosing the right size compressor is key to avoiding energy waste.
Fixed speed compressors generally have fewer components involved in speed regulation, making them easier and quicker to maintain. This simplicity often translates to lower service costs.
They’re a great fit for many sectors—automotive, woodworking, packaging—where processes are continuous and air needs don’t change throughout the shift.
